Chakra Windsor - Based to the Hindu custom, the chakras are centers of biophysical or metaphysical energy inside the human body. There are seven fundamental chakras, and many imagine in additional lesser chakras located inside the body system. Several modern day believers have drawn parallels between the major organs of the endocrine system plus the chakra system.
A series of lotus flowers moving up the spine to the crown of the head characterize the 7 important chakras. Every chakra has an element, and an associated colour plus mine of energy and every lotus has a particular amount of petals. As the chakras progress from the bottom to the highest, they govern increasingly spiritual functions. The Root Chakra is said to be positioned at the foot of the spinal column. It's thought to represent basic instincts, survival and emotions of security. The root chakra is associated with the component of earth and the colour red. It is visualized as a 4 petal lotus.
The Sacral Chakra is alleged to reside inside the pelvis or the groin. It's related to feelings, sexual energy and creativeness. This chakra is related to the element water and the colour orange and is typified by a 6 petal lotus flower.
In the region where the thorax plus the stomach meet is located the Solar Plexus chakra. It governs absorption, mental function and energy. The solar plexus chakra colour is yellow and its' element is fire. It's typified by a 10 petal lotus.
The Heart Chakra is said to govern compassion and love and is related to the chest area including the lungs. The heart chakra is related to the colour green and the component of air. Its lotus has twelve petals.
The Throat Chakra is related to self-expression, progress and communication. It is delineated by a sixteen petal lotus and is related to the component of sound or existence and the colour blue.
The Brow Chakra is as well known as the third eye. It's typified by a 2 petal lotus and mentioned to govern perception and insight. Its colour is indigo and it is connected to the element of light or time.
The Crown Chakra is imagined to be the connection to the divine or to signify the top of spiritual awareness. Represented as a violet or white lotus with a thousand petals, its related component is space or thought.
